I do try to not always make this blog all about my kids, but as many of you are aware as a mother your kids are your life Especially when you you are a full time SAHM. Sure every now & again I do photo shoots, every now and again I get to take a shower ALONE behind the curtain ALONE in my own world with my refreshing ginseng & citrus face wash, ALONE there is that word again after my obligatory 2 minutes ALONE. (With Jay on the other side in his rocker) I have the curtain yanked aside by my 2.5 year old fairy princess demanding “I want to do a wee on the potty” She stole this line out of the Tony Ross book “I want my potty” a book about using the potty.
Potty training
October 19, 2008 by suburbanmummyuk
My ALONE time is over, I’ll shave my legs another day.
I frantically yank her trousers off & her nappy to spend the next 4-6 hours I kid you not wondering where her “wee” is I ask her regularly “do you need a wee?” “tell me if you need a wee” I am met with a frowning face and a naked bottom to be told “I don’t need a wee wee”
In my head “then why did you wreck my shower & demand to have one” on my face is a smile & I say “that’s OK you just use the potty when you need one OK” I walk away.
two minutes later
“I did a wee wee on my floor”
WHY!!!!!!

Oh I have been there TOO many times myself. I am thinking why in God’s name did you do that when there is a potty RIGHT THERE! OH the joys of potty training.
Been there too!!!!! Keep persevering. It is REALLY frustrating at times but keep going. I use my blog to rant my frustrations about my efforts at potty training (amongst other things!!) – let it all out!!!!!!
