Often she will do something wrong like yelling in the house which we don’t allow.
Me – Eliza where do we shout?
Eliza – outside
Me – SO why did you shout inside?
Eliza – Because that’s why
Today she built a train track and right behind her was Jeremiah who ripped it all apart, I was watching the whole thing unfold in front of me, I carried on watching, I try to do this as much as possible and let them work their issues out as much as they can. Well She screamed at him.
JEREMIAH YOU WRECKED MY TRAIN TRACKS
Jeremiah bounced up and down wildly and shrieked thrilled with his work
And then I saw her pushing him and pushing him, trying to get him to fall over
Me – what are you doing
Eliza- I’m pushing Jeremiah
Me – Why?
Eliza – Because that’s why
Honestly it’s funny but it’s tiring because I am always asking her why and she is always saying “because that’s why”
Today I said OK from now on you are going to have to understand “why” so I said “You pushed Jeremiah didn’t you? Yes Mummy, why? Because that’s why. NO ELIZA!!!!!
You have to say “I pushed him because he broke my train tracks”
