Power trip peeing

September 3, 2009 by suburbanmummyuk

holding in wee

So my Daughter Eliza eliza water 5
Has been toilet trained for a while now. She was trained but then got MEGA UBER LAZY and I got nervous every time  we stepped outside that she would wee in a shop or in the stroller. SO I put her back in Nappies and she was not in the least bit fussed. Then one of her little friends toilet trained and she was obviously inspired and announced she no longer needed nappies and she would be wearing pants. EXCELLENT…

No issues all done it was like me and you wearing pants, well as long as you are not someone who wets their pants, I’m not unless you tickle me like crazy when I am drunk and then make me laugh in your mothers kitchen. No I never did that. stop asking…

So the past two weeks the divine miss 3.5 has taken to wetting her pants. It started with myself and my husband finding pink pants hidden in the bathroom, and a little naked bottom in the house, they weren’t actually wet just damp. Then came the full on “I’ve wet myself” welcome to what I call “power weeing” I think in my own way this is another one of those things no one ever tells  you about. Another “power trip” for kids Another I’ve lost control of my life what can I do, why yes, I can wet myself.

Eliza really doesn’t care she wets herself, and here’s why. It’s far easier to pee your pants when you are playing, going to the toilet means you will have to stop and also it might mean your baby brother touches what ever it is you were not playing with but now want. Another thing, we have 3 toilets in this house and for some FREAKIN reason at any given time she decides to go to the one upstairs and creates a enormous fuss about it. Now I really don’t gander to this and sternly tell her to go to the closest bathroom.

SO it has now come to the point where every HOUR I am having to remind her to go to the bathroom, and threatening nappies for her again. She does not want nappies.

save me someone before I have to wash another pair of fairy pants

If anyone out there wets their pants or has a child who wets their pants please enlighten me as to how you stopped and how you managed to stop this little power peeing struggle

Yours in pantsville

How annoying. Candi’s advice sounds great. I’ll have to keep that one locked away in case I need it.

I think I will try that Candi, in general we don’t allow any toys etc to be taken as well, they could end up in the water! I think I might just tell her I’ll bring it and still help her!

Thanks for your idea I’ll let you know!

Hmmm…maybe tell her she can take whatever toy she’s playing with to the bathroom with her? Or keep some toys (maybe even get a few new ones) that are ONLY potty toys…so that’ll she’ll want to go in there to play with them while she’s peeing? I hope you find something that works for you! How stressful!
