I posted about this wee issue back in September 09 it got a lot better. I did many things I lost my temper, I acted cool, I sympathised, I ignored it, I took her to the toilet every 30 minutes or at least reminded her her 30 minutes and every hour I took her and she more often than not went.
It’s not that she isn’t aware of her body or the messages, it’s this.
She is to busy playing, having a good time. She has in fact actually told me this.
She’s worried her younger brother will take her toys, we take the toys with us I hold them this didn’t work for long, it soon became I can’t leave the playroom he might TOUCH this.
She stuffs around a stupid amount for example she will say “I need a wee” and she will get up and head towards the toilet, there is nothing along the way aside from a bookshelf with adult travel books on it and then a sideboard with photo’s on it, but usually without fail she will stop and touch the sideboard and just linger and then I’ll remind her that she is in fact on the way to the bathroom, then she gets there and dawdles by trying to sort what ever toys she has taken with her out on the floor and while she is doing all this she has wet herself.
She says sorry, I then do what ever I do ignore/get cross/sympathise and then go get clean clothes.
For the past two weeks she got really good no accidents, I really thought we had turned a corner but Saturday we went away she was playing on the beach, we then headed into the village and I found some toilets and I said lets go she refused saying she didn’t need to. I said well to bad we’re going. Of course she didn’t need to she had peed her pants. I carry a Pottete wherever we go so it’s not like she doesn’t have anything to use.
She is still in night nappies and wakes up sodden. I told her today in fact once this packet runs out then no more.
I’m just at my wits end with this wetting herself. Has anyone been through this and if so what tips, ideas do you have I am DESPERATE!!!

I had the problem of sodden night nappies but J decided he didnt want to wear them anymore – I was really apprehensive. Anyhow, I did take him to the toilet a couple time overnight, known as ‘lifting’. There are pros and cons to it as with everything else. We had accidents in the bed to begin with but within a couple of weeks J had it sussed it. We bought waterproof protective sheets to put on top of the mattress as well as dipsoable bed pads – either huggies or pampers, can’t remember which. They are nice and big for the bed.
We didn’t have this problem, but we did have flatly refusing to poo anywhere other than in a nappy. We cracked it finally though, and you don’t want to hear this, but I think we did because she finally decided that she was ready to co-operate…. It’s not helpful, but they do get there in the end. I can’t tell you how fed up I was of it, and yet here we are, three weeks later and it all feels like a bad dream… Good luck!
HI there, I know I have to be patient but enough already I’ve been a good girl lol. I just don’t understand when she was all done and toilet trained no real effort and now it’s like stepping backwards, I am hoping it ends my high school
